LANGHORNE, PA – Following a masterful performance during the conference championship, junior golfer Corey Snyder (Fayetteville, PA) was named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference First Team as announced by the league last week.

Having clipped the 80 barrier just once throughout eight matches on the year heading into the championship weekend, Snyder saved his best effort for the most crucial two rounds of the season. The native of Fayetteville fired a season low 77 on day one of the tournament, following up with his second straight 77 the subsequent afternoon.

Snyder’s combined score of 144 proved good enough to place him second overall out of the 34 man field and helped pave the way for PBU’s fourth place finish during the championship round. Trailing only Cabrini College’s Chris Lawler – who carded a collective mark of 149 over the two day event - Snyder finished six strokes ahead of the third place finisher.

With a current career mark of 81.4, Snyder currently sits as the program’s all-time leader in career scoring average. A Second Team All-Conference member a year ago, Snyder becomes the first PBU golfer to generate First Team accolades within the CSAC.
