LANGHORNE, PA – The Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that Caroline DeHart (Barnstead, NH) was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Second Team All-Region squad as revealed by the organization late last week.
With first, second, and third team awards handed out, the third-year centerfielder was one of only six CSAC softball players to be recognized on the list. Posting a .414 batting average for the season, DeHart was PBU’s top offensive catalyst, leading the team in runs scored, slugging percentage, on base percentage, steals, and batting average.
With more than 50 NCAA III schools represented across the East Region, DeHart was picked as one of the top six outfielders. In 30 games she surrendered just two errors in the outfield, notching a .964 fielding percentage while coming up with 49 putouts.
It marks the first time in DeHart’s career she’s been named to an East Region team.
