The Crimson Eagles had 27 different players represent PBU on the Winter & Spring All-Academic Team, including 11 on the softball squad alone.
ASTON, PA – The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) has announced its winter and spring 2009 All-Academic Performers, a group that includes 27 PBU student-athletes. That number equates to nearly 41 percent of all eligible Crimson Eagle athletes for the winter and spring seasons.

The CSAC All-Academic Award is earned by each student-athlete that meets the NCAA Division III eligibility requirements, earns varsity status in their respective sport, and earns a minimum semester grade point average (GPA) of 3.2.

Across the conference, 430 student-athletes in all were named All-Academic Performers. “These student-athletes have assumed leadership roles on their campuses by demonstrating that a complete education includes both academics and athletics,"
noted CSAC Commissioner, Amy Friedman.

Of the 430 CSAC student-athletes receiving this award, 28 were First Team All-CSAC in their respective sport, 17 were named to the Second Team All-CSAC in their respective sport, 19 received Honorable Mention and 19 were recipients of individual Sportsmanship Awards.
