CSAC Habitat for Humanity Service Project
CSAC Service Project

LAUREL, DE - Sophomore volleyball players Justin Brubaker and Oliver Good both dished out a major assist last week without ever stepping onto a volleyball court.

Service Project

Representing the PBU student-athlete body as a whole, the duo earned perhaps their most important assist of the year during a three day event held in Laurel, Delaware spanning June 4-6. Brubaker and Good joined a group of student-athletes from across the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) to team with the widely recognized organization Habitat for Humanity, an association committed to building affordable houses for low income families.

The eleven CSAC athletes along with two conference representatives had the opportunity to work on two different houses during their brief but productive stay, completing a multitude of tasks that ranged from installing doorknobs to building scaffolding.

“Our experience with Habitat for Humanity was rewarding because we were able to assist with the building of houses for those in need,” Brubaker and Good both noted. “The workers from Habitat were very professional and friendly. It was also great to hang out with other athletes who also had the goal of helping others.”

A glimpse into the three day effort as well as a list of representatives from each of the schools can be found below.
