LANGHORNE, PA - The Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that Jessica Ogden (Dunmore, PA) and Lauren Roth (Mont Clare, PA) were both named Colonial States Athletic Conference All-Conference performers as announced by the CSAC office Wednesday.
Ogden picked up First Team Honors following a brilliant senior campaign that saw the fourth-year outfielder eclipse the .300 batting plateau for the third straight season. She hit .305 for the year to conclude her tenure as a Crimson Eagle with a .327 career batting average. Ogden finished second overall in the conference in total steals after swiping 20 bags for the year and ended fifth overall in runs scored with 30. A gold glove caliber outfielder, the product of The Baptist High School committed just two slip-ups defensively, recording a .972 field percentage. It marks the third straight year that Ogden’s been tabbed an All-Conference member.
Roth was selected as an Honorable Mention All-Conference performer after manufacturing one of the most efficient offensive statlines in recent memory. The junior infielder posted a plus-.400 batting average (.413) for the second straight year, good enough to place second overall in the CSAC. Additionally, Roth led PBU in slugging percentage (.609), total hits (38), triples (3), and home runs (2), signaling the second consecutive year she’s been recognized to an All-Conference squad.
Additionally, senior pitcher Bethany Hill (Mount Joy, PA) received the CSAC Sportsmanship Award in her final year with the softball team. Hill was one of 12 recipients across the conference to be honored for displaying outstanding sportsmanship characteristics throughout the season.
