ASTON, PA - The Colonial States Athletic Conference women’s volleyball All-Conference teams were released last week, with five different PBU players representing the Crimson Eagles on the award list.

Junior Carly Plank (Leola, PA) was selected as an All-Conference First Team member while seniors Betsy Ranck (Leola, PA) and Kay Lynn Zeiset (Akron, PA), junior Lindsay Dager (Havertown, PA), and freshman Rachel Calderon (Perkiomenville, PA) were each named to the Honorable Mention All-Conference squad.

Plank, a third-year outside hitter, picked up All-Conference honors for the second time in her career after finishing third in the CSAC in total kills per set (3.07) while attacking at a .144 clip for the season. Plank also added 2.23 digs per game, good enough to place the 5’5 hitter third on the squad in defensive stops while charting a team-high eight count of double-doubles on the year.

Ranck collected All-Conference Honorable Mention recognition for the second straight season after ending the year tops in the CSAC in assists per game. Already the program’s all-time leader in career assists, Ranck handed out 8.43 helpers per set to place the fourth-year setter her atop the conference while finishing the regular season with the best hitting percentage on the team (.261).

Zeiset joined Ranck on the Honorable Mention list following a year in which the fourth-year libero posted 3.77 digs per set, a number good enough to place her sixth overall in the conference. Zeiset finished second on the squad in total service aces with 60 while leading the Crimson Eagle back line with a .952 reception percentage.

Dager, a junior middle hitter, generated Honorable Mention status for the first time in her career after posting a .243 hitting percentage for the year, a mark good enough to place her fifth overall in the CSAC. The 5’7 native of Havertown posted 2.20 kills per set and charted 37 total blocks on the year, both numbers that placed her third on the team in each category.

Calderon, one of only three rookies to be included on the All-Conference list, picked up Honorable Mention honors after finishing second on the Crimson Eagles in both kills per game (2.40) and digs (2.84). Calderon managed to churn out six double-doubles on the season while posting the best service percentage on the team (.945).

Additionally, Dager was one of 11 recipients across the conference to be picked as a member of the CSAC Sportsmanship Award team. Dager and her fellow elected peers were honored for displaying outstanding sportsmanship characteristics throughout the season.
