ASTON, PA – Gwynedd-Mercy College’s Men’s Basketball team has been selected as the pre-season favorite in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) coaches’ poll. The 2008-09 conference champions received 9 out of 10 first place votes earning them a near perfect 99 points.
“Our program is honored to be selected the CSAC's pre-season men's basketball favorite. We expect it to be an exciting basketball year for all ten teams," said Gwynedd-Mercy head coach, John Baron. "Although the honor is flattering, we definitely realize that is not where you start but where you finish that counts, and our team and staff will continue to work hard in hopes to achieve our goals.”
Conference runner-up and ECAC runner-up, Cabrini College, came in second with 89 points. Keystone College was selected to finish third, earning 84 points. Marywood (61), Centenary (58), Immaculata (46), Baptist Bible (44), Neumann (42), Rosemont (15), and Philadelphia Biblical (15) rounded out the voting.
