PHILADELPHIA, PA - In a battle of the "Philadelphia schools" Friday afternoon, it was the Rams that came out victorious as the host squad extended a narrow 2-1 halftime lead into a three goal advantage by the time the final horn sounded.

Friday's contest kicked off poorly for the Crimson Eagles, to say the least, as Philadelphia University jumped out to a 1-0 lead just 1:22 into the contest. The Rams' second score of the day 18 minutes later gave Philly U a two-goal cushion, but PBU senior Erin Rohrer was able to combat the deficit by caging her third goal of the season with six minutes left in the opening stanza.

But after getting out shot 12-2 in the second half alone, the Crimson Eagle back line eventually cracked twice late in the second period as Philadelphia University managed to extend their edge to 4-1 by the 58th minute.

PBU junior keeper Lauren Roth managed 11 saves in the loss.

The Crimson Eagles fall to 3-11 on the year following Friday's loss, while the Rams improve to 4-10.

The team will return to the field next Wednesday in a CSAC struggle with Immaculata University. PBU will host the Mighty Macs at 4:30 pm.
